About Peter Ryan

As a practising Civil Servant for over 30 years Peter P. Ryan filled many roles including working as a Customs & Excise Officer on the Border, where he specialised in undercover activities. He worked as a part-time Trade Union Representative where he was secretary during the period that the Maastricht Treaty did away with physical borders between States and where successful negotiations ensured that the jobs of his members were secured in other worthwhile work areas. He was the Editor of the Customs Journal for over 6 years and an Editor of the Revenue Journal for another 5 years and chief features writer in both magazines. While working on the above he studied public administration and the law and received an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration.
